Technical &
Vocational Education (NCTVE)
The National Centre for Technical & Vocational Education
(NCTVE) has been established as Non Governmental Organization
(NGO) by Human Resource Development Society, registered
under SR Act, XXI of 1860 (Govt. of India) to promote
its Vocational and Technical Education Programme through
its selected Associated Vocational Training Institutes
(IVT) in all over India.
It was created with vision to create a niche in fast emerging
field of Information & Communication Technology and
Vocational Education. The vision to be the leader in the
development of industry oriented quality vocational education
and training in state-of-the-art areas, establish standards
and be the country's premier institution for examination
and certification in the field of Vocational Education.
A Governing Body of the Human Resource Development Society
oversees the management of the NCTVE and a Board of Management
oversees day-to-day activities of the NCTVE. The members
of the Board of Management consist of eminent academia
from reputed educational institutes and professionals
from industry. All of this gives the NCTVE an edge in
the conduct of various courses, designing new ones, innovating
and re-designing, keeping in mind the changing industrial
requirement.
Activities of the NCTVE
Affiliation Scheme, short term training programmes (awareness
programmes, corporate training programmes, certificate
/ diploma courses), long term courses (Bachelor / Master
Degree Programme of UGC approved Universities), Continuing
Education Programmes, Training the trainers programmes,
development of learning materials and projects and consultancy
services. The name NCTVE is synonymous with Vocational
Education in various streams. NCTVE forms the ideal bridge
to the ever-changing world of Vocational Education.
