Advanced Diploma in Computer Teacher Training
(ADCTT)
The NCTVE, a constituent of the Human Resource Development
Society aims to develop a new cadre of teachers interested
in teaching and research through intrainnovative and rigorous
campus-based full-time programs and distance learning
programs in computer teacher education.
NCTVE believes that the most important challenge facing
India is the education of its youth. Consequently, an
attempt is made to foster the development of each student's
special abilities, encourage them to experiment and undertake
research in the areas of interest and provide guidance
in exploring new approaches to teaching-learning situations.
Each student has ample opportunities at NCTVE to obtain
and synthesize essential knowledge, principles and concepts
from several disciplines and to test the ability to utilize
them in dealing with issues and problems. Thus, the curriculum
of NCTVE is broadly conceived so as to include the views
of its students expressed by them in the feedback forms.

Leadership
The NCTVE mission is to prepare and support leaders in
public and :private educational institutions at all levels
and in the educational units of other organizations. The
academic programs of NCTVE are guided by the conceptual
framework and are organized around three components: Foundational
Knowledge, Professional Knowledge and Real Life Experience.
Foundational Knowledge includes the basic tenets and principles
upon which a field of study is based. The foundation courses
are seen as developmental courses. Professional Knowledge
is the technical knowledge, specialized skills and ethical
standards used to function in the professional workplace.
Experiential Learning implies the concept that elements
of a professional's education will be gained from a practical
approach in a real world situation. It is based on the belief
that insights gained through a job, internship and course
field-work will enhance academic studies.
Objectives
The objectives of NCTVE are:
- to develop the profession of teaching on sound ethical
lines through rigorous standards, certification and continuing
education.
- to develop, nurture and maintain close intra institutional
relationship with other institutions interested in a similar
effort from India and abroad.
- to apply techniques for development of creativity in
a classroom situation.
- to describe various Theories of Learning and apply
them in promoting computer learning.
The Course Designed to equip the students with the knowledge
and skills for effective teaching in schools using computer
and multimedia devices. After completion of the course,
the students will develop sound professional skills for
an effective teaching learning process. They will also have
competence in any subject of their choice and will be able
to organize and teach the computer science subject effectively.
Duration: 12 Months + 1 Month (Teaching
Practice)

First Semester

After successful completion of the First Semester of ADCTT,
if a student wishes to discontinue the course, he/ she shall
be awarded the Diploma in Commercial Applications (DCOM).

ADCTT Certificate will be awarded by Manipal Institute
of Computer Education (MICE). MICE is a part of the reputed
Manipal Group, which includes the Manipal University. After
the successful completion of the course, placement assistance
in teaching field will be provided in the near by Government
approved, private schools and IT related organisations.
